Tasks

Your tasks may include e.g. the following:

  • participating in business opportunity and client advise projects by information retrieval (Internet and other information databases, magazines and publications, sometimes also interviews)
  • paticipating in scoping and maintaining local network contacts
  • participating in Team Finland Future Watch
  • answering the enquiries from local companies regarding Finnish market and Finnish companies
  • producing basic info services to Finnish companies and authorities, translation tasks
  • general office adminstration including telephone and reception services, meeting ans seminar arrangements, travel arrangements, mailing when necessary
Requirements

EDUFI awards and administers these scholarships to students or recent graduates (at least 2 years´ studies, but maximum one year since graduation) studying e.g. economics and business administration or technology in universities or polytechnics. Also students of other faculties are welcome to apply, however a genuine interest in helping Finnish companies is needed to ensure a successful traineeship.

Market research and skills to asses and synthetisize large amounts of literature for the purpose of opportunity and investment potential. Ability to conduct telephone interviews.

Knowledge from one of the following industries is an advantage: bio-pharma-healthcare tech, ICT, tourism or consumer design brands.

The applicants should have experience in office work and/or customer service, good written skills and good skills in MS office and Internet search engines and social media. Previous international educational or work experience in the target market and interest in the local business are considered as advantage.

Knowledge of Korean language is an asset. Fluent English (Finpro's corporate language) is a must. As the clients are Finnish companies, the trainee should also manage Finnish fluently. Open mind, energetic and active mindset empower a successful training period. abilitys to work independently and as a member of the team is expected.

Additional information

Travel insurance (i.e. traveller´s insurance and travel liability insurance) is provided by Finpro for the duration of the traineeship.

If applying to this position please note that the applicant is responsible for Visa application procedure. Finpro will supply the applicant with the relevant trainee certificate to support the application. Finpro will cover Visa application fees charged by the particular Embassy, where needed.

Finpro will cover flights to the host location as per the valid travel policy and spending limits.
